AI Governance & Adoption for Law Firms

The bridge between your AI policy and how your lawyers actually work.

Eaglebridge helps law firms turn AI policies and experiments into governed, practical workflows — tool approvals, vendor evaluation, attorney adoption, and human review.

For law firms of roughly 50 to 250 lawyers.

Our Approach

We test the policy against real matters.

A policy is a good starting point. The practical question is whether it works on a real matter: who approves the tool, which data is allowed, who checks client restrictions, and who reviews the output.

We work with innovation and knowledge management leaders, CIOs, CISOs, COOs, practice leaders, managing partners, and general counsel to coordinate the decisions that still sit between them.

  • Evidence first

Findings rest on interviews and real workflows, with evidence confidence stated plainly.

  • Human review

Clear rules for who checks AI output, and when.

  • Practical governance

Approvals, registers, and exceptions your lawyers will actually use.

  • Fixed scope

Fixed scope and fixed fee — no surprise invoices.

What We Do

Law firm AI governance services.

AI Governance & Adoption Assessment

An evidence-based view of how AI is actually used across your firm, where the gaps are, and what to fund next. Typically three to four weeks, eight to twelve stakeholder interviews, and up to two practice groups. You receive executive findings, an AI use-case register, maturity ratings, risk and control gaps, and a prioritized 90-day roadmap.

Governance Implementation

Turn an approved roadmap into daily practice: a governance charter, tool-approval workflow, tool register, exception process, review requirements, training plan, and management reporting. Typically six to ten weeks.

Vendor Evaluation

Support for a specific purchase or renewal. One workflow, up to three vendors, the same evidence requested from each, hard gates for data handling and client restrictions, a comparative scorecard, and a decision memo.

Practice Adoption Pilot

Test whether an approved tool improves a defined task in one practice group, with a baseline, a reviewed test set, training, and a clear scale, revise, or stop recommendation.

Leadership Workshop & Advisory

A two-to-three-hour session to align leadership on goals, ownership, and immediate decisions, with a short action memo. Ongoing advisory covers governance meetings and roadmap upkeep within defined monthly hours.

What we do not do: legal opinions, compliance certification, penetration testing, or custom integrations. Eaglebridge provides consulting services, not legal advice. Our methodology is informed by the NIST AI Risk Management Framework, ISO/IEC 42001:2023, and ABA Formal Opinion 512; it is not an external audit standard or a certification.

How We Work

A clear path, every time.

  1. 01

    Discover

We ask what is already covered, then interview stakeholders and map how AI is actually used across matters.

  2. 02

    Align

Findings, maturity ratings, and control gaps come back in plain language. Leadership agrees on what to fund next.

  3. 03

    Build

We put governance into practice: approvals, tool register, exception process, review requirements, and training.

  4. 04

    Elevate

Pilots prove value in a practice group, with a clear scale, revise, or stop decision and reporting to management.

Questions

Frequently asked questions.

We already have an AI policy. Why would we need this?

A policy is a good starting point. The practical question is whether it works on a real matter: who approves the tool, which data is allowed, who checks client restrictions, and who reviews the output. An assessment tests the policy against the workflows your people actually use.

Can you certify us or guarantee compliance?

No. We help you organize evidence and improve how AI is governed day to day. Legal determinations belong to your qualified counsel, and certification belongs to accredited bodies.

Our IT team or vendor already handles AI. Where do you fit?

They likely own important pieces, such as technical controls and product support. We start by asking what is already covered, then focus on the decisions that still need coordination between practice leaders, counsel, IT, and security.

What size firms do you work with?

Mostly firms of roughly 50 to 250 lawyers. A leadership workshop suits firms that need alignment before a full assessment.

How are engagements priced?

Every engagement has a fixed scope and a fixed fee, agreed in writing before work begins. Assessments are typically paid half at kickoff and half on delivery.

Every bridge starts with a first step.
